READ TOGETHER DIAMOND BAR 2025

FOUR SEASONS QUARTERLY BOOK GROUP

Four Seasons Book Group is Diamond Bar Friends of the Library’s quarterly book discussion group. It is part of our annual Read Together Diamond Bar program that will be held in the month of  April 2025.

 

Saturday, March 8, 2 pm: the authors of Women of Walt Disney Imagineering,  Kathy Rogers and Elisabete (Eli) Minceff Erlandson, two authors of this book, will reflect on their trailblazing theme park careers. Ms. Rogers was Executive Show Producer and Ms. Erlandson was Principal Concept Architect at Disney.

Please join us to hear the lively stories about one of our favorite theme parks and the women who helped make it all happen. Open to readers of all ages.

 

Saturday, April 5, 11 am:  as part of RTDB 2025, please join our Four Seasons book group as we read and discuss Harry’s Trees by Jon Cohen.  A lifelong lover of trees, a fiercely determined girl, a courageous librarian and a fair tale book come together in a redemptive story of love, family and friendship.  For adults

 

As part of RTDB 2025 How a Book Changed My Life Student Essay Contest:  Letter to an Author  Three $300 prizes

Due by Tuesday, April 15, 2025. The contest is open to students ages 13-18. Look for contest flyer at the Diamond Bar Library or online at dblibraryfriends.org. 

 

There are many exciting events planned for April as RTDB 2025 will be in full swing. Here are the books chosen for April 2025:

Harry’s Trees by Jon Cohen (Adult Fiction)

Fault Lines by Nora Shalaway Carpenter (Young Adult)

One Day This Tree Will Fall by Leslie Barnard Booth (K through second grade)

The Strange Wonder of Roots by Evan Griffith. (Middle Readers)

Author Evan Griffith will be our featured speaker for the close of RTDB 2025 on Saturday, April 26 at 2 pm and will also conduct a Writer’s Workshop that morning also in the Windmill Room.
