The mission of the Government Affairs Committee (GAC) is to provide a basis for the Regional Chamber of Commerce – San Gabriel Valley to act on local, state, and federal issues impacting the regional business community so a favorable and profitable business climate is secured.

Immediate funding is necessary for recovery, rebuilding, and resilience. This initial $39.68 billion request includes recovery funds for:
- impacted businesses and workers,
- impacted individual homeowners and renters,
- impacted public infrastructure like roads, schools and parks
- State and Local Government costs in responding to the disaster
- health and human services needs for impacted families
- wildfire and watershed resilience in the region, to protect communities from future fires and mudslides.
