Government Affairs Council Meeting 
The mission of the Government Affairs Council (GAC) is to champion policies that expand pathways for learning and earning, support stable and affordable communities where residents can live, and foster conditions where businesses and families can thrive, while positioning the Regional Chamber of Commerce – San Gabriel Valley as a leading voice on issues shaping the region’s economic and workforce future.

Presentation: Government Affairs Council (GAC) Meeting Brief
Lauren James, President & Chair of the Board of RCCSGV will present an overview of the official FIFA Fan Zone Event and Global Soccer Village planned for Whittier Narrows Recreation Area. The event is being organized by the Office of LA County First District Supervisor Hilda L. Solis in partnership with the Regional Chamber of Commerce – San Gabriel Valley (RCCSGV).
The presentation will highlight the vision for a regional community celebration aligned with the upcoming FIFA World Cup activities, featuring fan engagement areas, cultural programming, small business marketplace opportunities, food vendors, and community participation from cities across the San Gabriel Valley. The initiative aims to showcase the region’s diverse culture, support local businesses, and create economic opportunities while bringing residents and visitors together through the global spirit of soccer.
