Presentation: Government Affairs Council (GAC) Meeting Brief
Topic Presenter Sam Vasquez:
“The Puente Hills Mall has experienced a significant decline in recent years, with only a handful of tenants remaining. In response, new ownership and the City of Industry are working together to reimagine the site as a modern, economically productive space that aligns with the city’s long-term vision. Current plans being discussed include transforming the property into a more intensive commercial and industrial use site, with potential components such as logistics, advanced commercial uses, and even emerging infrastructure like battery energy storage systems following recent zoning changes approved by the city.
At the same time, earlier concepts and redevelopment discussions have also explored revitalizing the site into a mixed-use or modern commercial center with updated retail, dining, and entertainment elements to better serve the surrounding San Gabriel Valley.
Today’s presentation will provide an overview of these proposals, the city’s direction, and the potential opportunities and impacts this redevelopment may bring to the broader community.”
Invite attendees’ comments and questions.
